\S/,

Regarding my plan to leaving my box...

Well!! I don't really know where to start, hornestly. I always wanted to be “not a tourist but traveller” and riding's looked on as my best solution. This dream's started 4 yrs ago and I told my friends that I'll start doing it in year 2009 (with a certain personal reason that couldn’t say here & now but will considering tell u later...)  Smiley

Gohhh! Watching u on your bikeS, chasing your dream did really magnifying my passion and now fully driving my free spirit. (Namnao usually appears to be the truth, don’t u think??  Wink

Anyway, let’s get back to the point..

One of my friend told me to buy a small bike and learn “how to” first, then see what I really feel,...moving on or forget it!! That’s after he said; "It ain't a fashion show," he reminded me. "Picture yourself sprawled on the pavement, not sitting on the bike."  Ummm..what a great supporter!!  Cry

Now, what’d u say??

• Do I really need to buy one now and try out whether I’d adhere with the plan?
• If so, what’d be my best option? (I do like one, Honda C70 Dream, but beleive that it’s not gonna be easy to find)
• Is this a good idea for woman? (My friend said I better find s’one riding for me but I think that would be far more difficult!!!)

Your guidances  ( as I’ve a faith on u, don’t ask why? ) would be much much appreciated.

 Huh ~ sigh ~

Dear PARTIV

You first need to determine your budget, how much you wanna spend?

Your friend do have a good point, a lot of people go out and spend 1 million on a Harley and then realize they rather be riding a spot bike, worst of, they don't ride it at all.

As a Newbe you dont know what you want yet, so it may be better to get a cheap bike  first (can find a lot of second hand at www.mocyc.com) and then once you know what kind of riding you wanna do move to a bigger/expensive bike.  You do not want to waste money.

Another very important thing is a bike is not a toy but a machine that need to be respected.  A lot of horsepower & cc is very dangerous and can get you in trouble quick - everyone think they can ride until there're in a situation they've never been in before! a young kid on a Hayabusa is a terrible combination and an accident waiting to happen.

Anyway, best of luck and hope you step out of your box onto a bike

Thank you so much for useful information. I'll check the website and may need to have more of your advices. One more thing for now is, have u ever heard of any places that teach riding? I may need to start from that, right? (should be!!??)

Have a good Monday Smiley

Best and easiest way is to find a friend who can teach you, obviously, he/she should know what they are doing

FYI,

Just got my first fall off the bike and have some small cuts and blues. After 2 mths, I still don't get use to manage the front and back breaks, that's why I've hurting myself Sad Now, I've learnt more and still enjoy riding... Smiley

Sukie,

I have a chance to ride for the first time on a real road in Maehongsorn last month and feeling soooo happy. Although I finally fall for the 2nd time in my life on the 2nd day before the journey ended, I've learnt that there're nothing could ever made me truely understand the meaning of freedom than this riding thing...for now.

Like I said, my life has been changed completely after getting my ass out of that same old box to the bike, and so does my perception i living....and you are responsible for this great inspiration...thanks again Smiley

Anyway, I'm planning to make my first trip (hopefully before this rainy season) to Krabi. I'd be so grateful if you could give me some idea about the routes you'd used (those back roads) from your last trip. I know you usually made the great choices and most of them are all beautiful (I like your taste though!!)

I don't know how many times I would have a chance to make this kind of journey, so, want it to be a memorable one.... Thanks you in advance for your kind advices and hope to ride with u guy and the gang someday soon...

I definitely NOT gonna go back to that old boring box of mine again Smiley
