Krabi Solo Trip
Date : July 26-Aug 1
1 Bike : Triumph Tiger
1 Rider : Sukie
Route : BKK - Khao Sok NP - Ao Nang - Railay - Takua Pa – Ban Krut - BKK
Distant : 2,000 km
I love riding by myself, mainly because you can do whatever you want and don’t have to Kreng Jai anyone – the ultimate definition of freedom, which is why we ride to begin with.
You can go fast, you can go slowly. You can go long, the first day I rode 800km / 10hr straight, or you can go short, some day I didn’t ride at all. All at your own pace.
I have ridden straight none stop from BKK to Phuket before but this time I have decided to take my time to explore many new routes that I had never ridden before.
Below is the list of new roads I rode on this trip: Between Prachuap & Chumporn – HW3169, 3459, 3497, 3374, 3411, 3253, 3201 Between Chumporn & Krabi – HW4091, 4139, 4006, 4118, 4240, 4090, 4032
I have not ridden the far South in two years and forgot how beautiful it is. The reason for not going is I hate the section between BKK to Prachuap, about 300 km, it is a very boring straight line.
Having done this trip I am defiantly going again, all the way to the border at Satun.
Anyway, hope everyone enjoy the pictures and do try to make it down South, beautiful roads awaits you. Sukie.

Mai Sanook from BKK to Prachuab, but then got off main highway on to this back road HW3169

The back roads are much more interesting & beautiful than riding on the main HW

Left BKK at 10 am, arrived Khao Sok about 7 pm and stay at KhaoSok Tree House
